The 31-year-old was a key figure in the defensive setup of the Old Lady last season and helped them in securing their fourth successive domestic double – the Coppa Italia and Scudetto.

Benatia who joined the Allianz Stadium outfit on a three-year deal in 2017 has attracted interests from top European sides including Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille.

Despite reports linking him a reunion with his former boss Rudi Garcia at the Stade Velodrome, the defender, captain of Morocco, disclosed that he is only focused on leading his country to a good outing at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.

“I respect Garcia and all his staff,” Benatia told France Football.

“But I still have two years on my Juventus contract and I want to respect that. Right now my attention is solely focused on the World Cup.”
