While it’s still unclear who Wise will be playing in Jurassic World: Dominion, her teaming up with Pratt’s character in what appears to be an intense action sequence will likely mean she plays a pivotal role in the film. In fact, fans may see her cross paths with many of the characters from the original Jurassic Park film like Sam Neill’s Dr. Alan Grant, Laura Dern’s Ellie Sattler, and Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm.

Wise, who starred in films like Netflix’s Fatherhood and The Harder They Fall in 2021, is shown in a new image for the Jurassic World sequel standing alongside Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady and gearing up to face whatever dinosaurs are coming their way. Other than gripping weapons and posing in their fighting stances, the wintry landscape the two characters are in is worth pointing out, as the previous Jurassic Park films have all taken place in tropical, warm locations like the fictional island Isla Nublar. In a post on his official Instagram account, Pratt welcomed Wise to the Jurassic World family, adding that she will make entrance fans won’t soon forget.

Jurassic World: Dominion is set to release roughly 30 years after Jurassic Park, and it will also conclude the entire franchise. While many details have been kept under wraps, the story will take place four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as the dinos roam free in the wilderness and other urban areas after escaping from the Lockwood estate. Director Colin Trevorrow, who is returning after directing Jurassic World, described the upcoming film as a spy thriller combined with the dinosaur elements.

The Jurassic World: Dominion prologue premiered exclusively in IMAX showings ahead of Fast and Furious 9 in June, presenting the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago and depicting what it was like with only dinosaurs ruling the planet. The footage released to the public in November, showing the present day following the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as a helicopter searches the forest for the T-Rex that is making its way to a drive-in theater.

While being box-office success, the newer additions to the Jurassic Park franchise have become a bit divisive among fans. So, let’s just hope that Trevorrow’s Jurassic World: Dominion is the worthy conclusion fans have been hoping for.

Jurassic World: Dominion is set to release in theatres on June 10, 2022.
