It was reported in 2019 that Dern, Goldblum, and Neill would be reprising their roles and joining Jurassic World cast members Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard for the much anticipated third movie in the trilogy. Goldblum’s highly publicized but very brief appearance in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom left some fans disappointed that he wasn’t featured in the movie more, but director Colin Trevorrow has managed to rope all three original cast members into a bigger part for his latest dinosaur blockbuster.

In a recent interview, Sam Neill confirmed he and his co-stars are “all the way through the film” and that they are “going to be living in the same joint for three or four months” once filming resumes. Jurassic World: Dominion was placed on hold due to the pandemic but is one of the first films allowed to continue production in the UK, starting in early July. Seeing as Neill and his co-stars will be on set for a number of months, it seems they really will be a large part of the new film.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom left audiences with a lot of unanswered questions, as the ending showed the remaining dinosaurs from the island being released into the wild to re-integrate with humans. It looks like the film will be calling in the experts Dern, Goldblum, and Neill to help solve the problem and hopefully means Jurassic World: Dominion can end the trilogy on a high note.

Jurassic World Dominion has a release date of June 11, 2021.
