As it so happens, the prolific modder known as OniFox recently decided to bring Halo’s Master Chief into the fold, with the Xbox-exclusive first-person shooter franchise’s protagonist now having become an unofficial Jump Force member. This mod replaces the City Hunter character Ryo Saeba’s entire appearance with that of Master Chief’s, and changes the look of his weaponry as well.
To be specific, this Jump Force mod includes Master Chief in his design from Halo 3, and incorporates several pieces of the Spartan’s gear from the Xbox FPS series, including the Magnum, Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, Brute Shot, Gravity Hammer, and even the Warthog. What’s more is that the mod makes the immersion of the character more complete by changing Ryo’s UI to show Master Chief instead.
For those unaware, Master Chief’s addition to Jump Force hasn’t been the only instance of characters being modded into the Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft fighting game thus far. For instance, Shaggy from Scooby Doo was modded into the title not too long ago as a fully voiced and modeled character, replacing Dragon Ball Z’s Vegeta.
All things considered, the addition of Master Chief to Jump Force via modding will likely delight the fighting game’s fan base on PC, for even though it doesn’t technically bring a character with new moves into the fold, it should serve as a means to make the title feel a bit more fresh. So, with both the Halo protagonist and Shaggy having unofficially graced the fighting game with their presence, it will be interesting to see who the modding community decides to add next.
Jump Force is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
