First up on this list of new additions is Boruto Uzumaki, the son of Naruto Uzumaki and the series protagonist in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Next up is Gaara, the now redeemed foil to Naruto, and now serving as the Fifth Kazekage. Kakashi Hatake also joins the roster, with this character having served an important role as a teacher to the series protagonists Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. And finally, the main antagonist of Naruto: Shippuden, Kaguya Otsutsuki, has also been added to the Jump Force roster.

As seen below, these characters were revealed in an early version of the V Jump Magazine’s March 2019 issue. They were revealed alongside some new Dragon Ball Z characters for Jump Force as well, namely Cell, Trunks, and Piccolo.

Hopefully, we get some footage of these new Jump Force characters sooner rather than later, as the above scans do little to highlight the characters’ moves in-game. Based on the anime, we can presume some of their fighting styles, but that doesn’t tell us how they will perform in the game, especially in the face of enemies from other animes.

Considering the myriad of other animes appearing in Jump Force, this growing roster becomes more and more impressive. Fighting against characters from other animes such as Bleach or My Hero Academia with any of the aforementioned Naruto characters will definitely add some replay value to this fighting game, a department in which fighting games typically suffer.

Jump Force launches on February 15, 2019, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
