Jump Force’s post-launch support begins in April, and will see the addition of a Clan feature, a special event, and new costumes for the player character. May will include another free update, but perhaps more notably, it will see the addition of three brand new playable characters as paid DLC. Two of those characters have yet to be revealed, but we know one of them will be Seto Kaiba of Yu-Gi-Oh! fame, who serves as the anime’s first villain and later becomes an anti-hero of sorts.

June and July will see the release of more free updates for Jump Force, mainly in the form of special events and costumes. However, August is when the next paid DLC will be available, as three more characters will be added to the game’s large and still-growing roster of fighters.

It’s hard to say who the rest of the DLC characters in Jump Force will be, but perhaps they will give better representation to some anime that only have one or two characters in the game. While series like Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece are heavily represented, anime like Black Clover and My Hero Academia only have one representative on the roster, for example.

My Hero Academia in particular seems like a strong candidate for better representation in Jump Force. The anime is quickly becoming one of the world’s most popular, becoming this-generation’s Dragon Ball and Naruto equivalent. And since the show is full of super-powered characters, they seem like they would fit right in on the roster with little issue.

Or maybe Jump Force DLC could make non-playable characters in the game playable, like Death Note’s Light Yagami and Ryuk. Whatever the case may be, fans should find out more about Jump Force’s DLC characters in the coming months.

Jump Force is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
