Julius Randle paid a visit to the folks at ESPN’s “SportsNation” on Friday and was asked that very question. Seeing as he is a Wildcat turned Laker after being the No. 7 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, he of all people should know how ridiculous the question is.

Wait, does he?

Randle said the Wildcats could “absolutely” beat this season’s Lakers, who were amongst the NBA’s bottom feeders with a dismal 21-61 record.

Then, after everyone on the panel lost their collective minds, he quickly backtracked and said he was just joking.

Phew! Randle just saved himself a lot of scrutiny.
